Honolulu blog

When you wake up and look into the mirror, what do you see? Handsomeness, right? But do you feel handsome? Yes, no, maybe so? Whatever your answer may be, Mojo Barbershop is here to enhance your handsomeness, and more importantly, make you feel handsome about yourself. The newly opened barbershop in Downtown exemplifies the nostalgic experience you should feel when you get your wig chopped at a barbershop. You may encounter hipster teenagers, middle-aged lawyers, young adult college students, older businessmen/businesswomen (yes ladies, you can get your handsome on too!), and beach bum mokes comfortably chiming in on each others conversations, all while getting their hair cut. All walks of life are welcomed and attracted at Mojo Barbershop because of the atmosphere they provide, on top of the first class barbering the three barbers give when cutting hair. Attention to nostalgic detail resides throughout the entire shop. The majority of the shelving, register counter, and other various items throughout the shop are legitimately vintage, and date back as far as the 1920′s. On Friday’s and Saturday’s, all five of your senses can magnify as you are able to purchase ice cold brewski’s at the shop, which also further enhances the “social club” aspect of Mojo Barbershop. Plus, they always got the jamz on blast (ex. The Roots – How I Got Over album). It really is the cornerstone of the hood, so if you need your wig/beard chopped or just want to shoot the cruise, Mojo Barbershop is the perfect place to go!
