The final stage of less than a weeks work for POW WOW Hawai’i 2012 came to a close this past Saturday over at the Loft in Space and Fresh Cafe in Kaka’ako. Saturday evening’s extravaganza included live paintings by all the artists, a photo exhibition put together by Eugene Kan of Hypebeast, an Arkitip pop up shop, and a live DJ set by none other than Jules Gayton, just to name a few. Definitely upped the bar this year, and hopefully Hawai’i gets blessed with another event next year.
Big ups and mahalos to Jasper Wong, Tiffany Tanaka, Eugene Kan, Christa Wittmier, Kamea Hadar, Jun Jo, Sonny Ganaden, Michael Inouye, all the artists involved in the event, and to all of those who made this event possible. Thank you! Cheee huuu!
