Q: What medium or mediums do you work with?
In this case a cheap disposable underwater camera.

Q: Do you work with any specific styles or subject matter?
Nothing specific, what ever style fits the subject.

Q: How do you get ideas to create a piece? What inspires you?
This series of photos was obviously inspired by living in Hawaii and being so close to the ocean everyday. Also the idea of random images. In these photos nothing was framed or planned. I just went to my favorite beach, dove underwater and started clicking pics.

Q: Are there any artists that have influenced you and why?
Too many to name.

Q: Do you have any formal training or are you self taught?
I went to Parsons in NYC for painting but no formal photography training.

Q: Why do you think it is important to have events like Pow Wow?
A community around Art always inspires more art.

Q: How does being in a setting such as Hawaii affect your artwork?
Hawaii is amazingly beautiful and to me the Ocean specifically. When I would swim or dive in the ocean the colors are just insane. I like to call these photos”watercolors” ha ha.
