Will Sweeney graduated from London’s Royal College of Art in 1998 and embarked on his diverse career as a freelance artist/illustrator. Will is the author of Tales From Greenfuzz – a food based comic strip adventure published by James Jarvis’ company Amos, accompanied by several soft vinyl toy designs. Will has worked with numerous clients as an illustrator, including Medicom Fabrick, The Simpsons comic, The Wire Magazine, Yo Gabba Gabba, Undercover, and Stussy. Will worked extensively for cult British streetwear label Silas, creating in-store artworks, catalogue designs and a multitude of t-shirts. Recently he published a book of drawings entitled As Above So Below with Nieves and held a show of the same name at Lazydog Gallery, Paris. Will co-created the cosmic animated video for French DJ crew Birdy Nam Nam’s The Parachute Ending – which has had over 5 million hits online and was one of 25 films recently shown in New York’s Guggenheim Museum as part of The Youtube Play exhibition.
Will now divides his time between commercial work, Alakazam, his own t-shirt label, and various comic’s projects and exhibitions. He also plays guitar in the Zongamin live band, regularly playing live shows around the world.
